Treating rust in floor pans

Just for anyone looking at POR15 for rust treatment. I had some heavy surface rust and scale in the rear floor pans but structurally still strong and no holes.
I went with the KBS system which is produced by someone previously linked to the POR brand and as its Australian runs at about half price.
Anyway, I used the Rust Blast which really cleaned up the rust and then two coats of Rustseal (500ml tin spot on for size).
The finish is almost like a heavy powder coating type feel and the floor looks and feels right.
just thought I would put it on in case anyone is thinking of painting floor pans.
Photos of before, after rust blast and then final.

  • It is a great product I used it also on my floors , the trick is making sure NOT to get it on your hands ALWAYS wear gloves otherwise it will take days yes days of scrubbing to get it off yourself
